Hearts of Pride Affirmations

Hello Lovely Friends.  Happy July 1!  I hope you hold in your hearts love and acceptance all through the year.  I wanted to end The Care Neighborhood celebration of pride with affirmations.  These are statements to affirm who we are and how we love, to break down the transphobic and queerphobic messages we may have heard through our lives.

I'm grateful to everyone who supported Hearts of Pride, those who encouraged me, allowed me to share they're Pride celebrations and those who contributed affirmations.

Thank you to Saebyl, Emily, Rebecca, Marina, Christina, Andrew, Jo and Laura, Andrea, Patrick, Millie, Sam and Alyssa, Luchiana, Joanna of Hippie Witch and shout out to the Dream Team!, Danielle of Black Care Matters, the Community Renewal Society in Chicago, Tuck Woodstock of Gender Reveal Podcast, and Imara of Trans Lash Media.
And a special thanks to my wife Allyson for the ways you love me and let me be free to be me.

If you have an Affirmation to share with our LGBTQ+ community, please add it to our comments.

Before you begin to read these affirmations, check-in with your mind and body. June has been quite a month. Give yourself permission to be gentle with yourself, to rest and feel loved in this space.  Now here are the affirmations...

I am in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing.I cannot be erased. I love with my heart and soul unbounded by gender. Who I marry is my decision.

Pansexuals love beyond the binary.

Trans is magick.

I am divine in my sexuality. Sexuality is divine in all forms. I honor my sexuality

PRIDE means being able to be who you are without any fear and that is inclusive of loving whoever touches your heart.

I advocate for myself and my community mental, emotional, spiritual and physical wellbeing.

PRIDE means living an authentic, bold, embodied life whenever possible and using my voice to make sure that everyone knows that my visibility and existence is a privilege not held by many.

My hope and prayer for the future is that we all get the opportunity to live into authenticity without fear, we have access to the resources needed for survival, and, most importantly, thriving, becomes a right of all humans.Your living is one of the most incredible forms.

Trans women deserve love and support when they are alive.

I celebrate being alive. I demand my rights.

I’m here. I’m queer. I’m awesome.

I love and approve of myself as I am

I have a wonderful and harmonious relationship with everyone in my family.

I love my chosen family.

I am worthy.

And the beginning lines from Mary Oliver's poem, "Wild Geese" because it is a piece of writing that has profoundly touched my heart through the years.

You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Take a deep breath.  Know that you are loved and accepted.
One final affirmation that is pertinent to say...
Black Trans Lives Matter.
